Burnt Coat Harbor Light

Take a ferry over to Swan’s Island and experience coastal magic at the Burnt Coat Harbor Light Station. Visitors can tour the restored 1872 keeper’s house, climb the 35-foot tower for sweeping island views, and explore scenic trails leading to beautiful beaches. It is the perfect spot to sit in a rocking chair on the porch and watch the lobster boats come and go.

Food Available

While there is no food available on the island itself, there is food available near the entry point to the ferry to Swans Island. Travelers should prepare accordingly.

Parking

Parking is sparse on the island. There is a small parking lot down the road from the museum, and parking is available near where the ferry drops off. Please note that the ferry only holds 17 cars per trip and reservations are needed in advance.
