We recently revisited the Orono Arcade and were thrilled to see its massive new expansion! This two-story gem in downtown Orono is a total throwback, using a nostalgic token system that really captures the “heyday” arcade vibe. Our visit was a breath of fresh air because they skip the prize counter stress to focus entirely on the fun of gaming. We spent hours exploring the wall of retro classics like Frogger and the impressive new pinball lineup—the Labyrinth machine is a must-see for David Bowie fans! Between the blacklight mini-golf and four-player Mario Kart battles, there is so much packed into this space. While the layout is a bit snug for large groups, it’s an absolute blast for anyone chasing high scores.
