Read about our visit
We recently spent a Saturday morning at the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum on the Bowdoin College campus, and it’s such a cool find! Even though it’s a smaller museum, the experience is incredibly well-curated. During our visit, we loved seeing the massive arctic animals up close and even got to touch a real narwhal horn. The exhibits bridge the gap between historic Inuit engineering and beautiful textiles, all under lighting that feels like the northern lights. Kids can have a blast with the scavenger hunts and free collectible pins, while adults may enjoy the rich stories and culture on display. Best of all? Admission is free, making it a perfect, quick stop in Brunswick. To see more photos of the animals and plan your trip, read our full Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum review here.
